Regardless of the desired standard, every building requires basic electrical and plumbing equipment. This includes a multi-sector house connection, meter system, power distribution cabinet, KNX basic installation, ceiling and wall outlets for lights, audio door intercom system, sockets, USB sockets, antenna connection sockets, and various water connections.
The exact number and positioning of all components and outlets are individually planned for you.
Sanitary fittings such as wash basins or toilets, as well as lights and bulbs, are not included here.

Using a special router, internet access is provided redundantly via two different media (e.g. fiber optics and cable or mobile communications).

This not only massively increases the stability and availability of your Internet connection, but also the bandwidth, since the router intelligently utilizes both accesses in parallel.

In addition to the basic installation, all pipes are planned and integrated into the shell construction phase to enable you to retrofit all empine products later. In addition to preparing the installation space, the pipes are one of the pillars of your Ready for Smart Living building certificate. In addition to expandability, the rooms can also be used flexibly (e.g. changing an office into a workshop).

In particular, the following empine systems are being prepared: ventilation systems, solar systems and charging stations, cabling for intruder alarm systems, electric roller shutter drives, network cabling, multi-room audio systems, garden irrigation, and outdoor lighting.

Not only do the pipelines have to be planned and installed at the time of construction, but also the necessary installation space for the components that can be installed later. In particular, the necessary space in the technical room (e.g. for later electricity storage), solar roof, WLAN access points, invisible loudspeakers, and flush-mounted sockets for various connection points.

When installing new windows and doors, the closing contacts provided by the manufacturer are installed in the hardware and the wiring that will be required later is prepared accordingly. Nothing is visible on your windows and doors when they are closed.

The actual functionality is achieved with the products empineclimate (heat reduction when windows are open), empinesecurity (monitoring in the event of intrusion and warning when arming), empinelights (information on open windows at the switch) and empineassist (automatic deactivation of the extractor hood when the window is closed and the fireplace is running).

In particular, for the regulation of your room-specific indoor temperature, the necessary sensors are provided in all rooms. Dedicated temperature sensors are planned for the floors to ensure a comfortable and healthy floor temperature for you.

The actual functionality is realized with empineclimate.

With empineOS, comprehensive detection and processing of system errors is provided on site in your building. All empine components can report corresponding errors here. Internet access and network components (WLAN and LAN) in particular are continuously monitored for empineOS.

In combination with other empine products, heating and ventilation (empineclimate), circuit monitoring and solar systems (empinepower), intruder alarm systems (empinesecurity) and leakage monitoring (empinewater) are particularly noteworthy.

Errors detected by the system are forwarded directly to the empine control center. In this way, we are able to start immediately with the error analysis and its elimination. Thanks to our secure remote maintenance access, we can solve many problems quickly and easily without a personal appointment at your site.

If this is not possible, a technician on site will be informed immediately. He already knows all the details of the analysis and can use this to solve the problem quickly and in a targeted manner.

With your empine user account you can log in at any time via our empine portal. The most up-to-date information about your building is always summarized there: 1. all plans, documentation and operating instructions for your empine products and their installation in your building, 2. all maintenance contracts, 3. all architectural and construction plans provided, 4. permits, and 5 Your digital building energy certificate

You can also order additional empine products via the empine portal. Since all the necessary information is already available, this can be done with just a few clicks.

empine's guarantee is that all products available at the time of purchase can be retrofitted without extensive infrastructural conversion measures (in particular without further caulking work on walls, floors, or ceilings).

All necessary supply pipes and the corresponding installation space are accessible via blind covers.

Instead of normal light switches, multifunction wall switches are installed in every room. You can use it to control all the components of your empine system - not just your lights, but also blinds, heating or your multi-room audio system, for example. The LEDs on the switch can be used to display status messages from your built-in empine components, for example "all windows closed", "heating active", "alarm system active", "music playing".

Depending on your preferences, your new switches are available in a wide variety of designs from glossy white to black to glass or bronze. Depending on the amount of control required, the switches are available in 1-way to 6-way versions. They are optionally available with or without inscription.

A comprehensive and sufficiently strong wireless network (WirelessLAN) is provided for your entire building, including the basement and garden. Both telephony and multimedia can be operated via this network. As part of the concrete planning for your building, the desired signal strengths can be individually adjusted and agreed upon.

If desired, the wireless LAN can be switched off automatically at certain times (e.g. at night) or manually.

The simultaneous operation of several virtual networks for the realization of special accesses, for example for guests or minors with possibly time-limited or completely blocked websites and/or services, is intended.

A wired LAN network (copper or fiber optic) can be provided in the respective rooms as required via the appropriate infrastructure preparation. This is particularly recommended or necessary for PC workstations, multimedia systems such as 4K televisions, stationary video telephones and video conference systems for trouble-free operation.

If required, motion sensors can be provided in all rooms and in the outdoor area to detect presence. In addition to your lighting, other empine products such as heating (empineclimate) or audio systems (empinemedia) are switched on and off again later when people are detected.

If required, switching can also be dependent on the time of day and/or brightness.

Your mobile end devices such as mobile phones, tablets or notebooks are permanently connected to your local network in the building via an encrypted connection (VPN).

In particular, all your apps that you have installed via other empine products also work outside of your building.

If you wish, you can conveniently control your building with your mobile phone or tablet from the couch or on the go (if mobile remote access is available).

In addition to the standard operating functions for light and blinds, you can use this to conveniently make further settings for all built-in empine components (depending on the products installed). In particular, this includes setting the heating and cooling, visualization of the building status and setting and calling up room scenes.

The audio and video door intercom system can also be controlled as an option.

In addition to the smartphone app and the installed multi-function wall switches, you can optionally add touch screens in your building as required - for example one per floor. Operation and range of functions corresponds to the app. It is therefore not necessary to get used to it.

This allows you to fully use all building functions even when you don't have your mobile phone with you. In particular, this includes setting the heating and cooling, visualization of the building status and setting and calling up room scenes. The audio and video door intercom system can also be controlled as an option.

With this interface you can control the built-in empine components of your property either via Apple Home Kit, Google Home or Alexa - depending on which platform you prefer.

This also makes operation via your Apple Watch or Amazon Echo Show (with screen) possible, for example. In addition, you create the conditions for conveniently controlling your building via voice (see voice control with in-room microphones).

Depending on which language assistant you prefer, you can install Amazon Echo Dots, Apple HomePot Minis or Google Nest Mini in the rooms. This ensures that you can conveniently control your building by voice in every room.
